KEEPING WARM THIS WINTER

With this chilly weather we have been having lately, we have been even more grateful for our warm office at Lanswoodpark. All the offices have energy efficient air handling heating that is all included within the rent, which means there is no need to worry about prices sky-rocketing over Winter.
It is also such a treat to have The Shed cafe in the grounds of the business centre. Although it is nice and warm in the office, it is nice to get out and get some hot food at lunch without having to trek too far. It is also a great place to enjoy a team hot chocolate on a Friday afternoon.

A warm welcome to our new tenants, Blossom Living, who have recently moved into Broomfield House. Blossom Living offers young people aged 16-18 a managed transition to independence with safe, high spec accommodation as well as mentoring key workers, on-site support and guidance in the skills they need to live independently.

In Unit 3 we have Ace 24 Healthcare Ltd. They provide CQC regulated and non regulated activities as well as specialist healthcare recruitment. They supply recruitment and specialist healthcare related consultancy services to their public and private sector clients.
Ministry Protective have moved into Unit 6. Their mission statement is "to provide all stakeholders with a reliable and professional service that gives total reassurance and confidence at all times, whilst targeting continual improvement within the sectors that we operate".

BRINGING NATURE INSIDE

Houseplants have long been associated with improved wellbeing, but there are many other ways you can bring nature into your office. Think about how you can incorporate natural materials, elements of the weather and light into your space.

Natural materials such as wood, clay & rattan can be incorporated through the furniture or in more subtle ways, such as a photo frame.

The weather is certainly starting to feel more Autumnal, but here at Lanswoodpark we’ve got you covered! Our office spaces provide a comfortable working environment all year round, with Air Handling Heating and low energy lighting.
The topic of ‘burnout’ has been in the news recently, defined by the World Health Organisation as ‘chronic occupational stress’. Many people will have experienced burnout at some point in their life. A recent article by Stylist Magazine discusses the current overwhelming feeling of emotional exhaustion amongst the workforce, for which the pandemic is partly accountable. So how can we make a change?
Whilst many workplaces have tried to tackle the symptoms of the issue, the importance of getting to the root cause has been overlooked. Stylist magazine goes on to say that access to mental health services and opportunities for shorter work weeks are a great start, but in order to see any real change there needs to be honest conversations between employers and employees so that views amongst the whole workforce align and employees feel supported and understood.

NHS RIDE OF THANKS
July 4, 2021
On Sunday 4th July, the NHS Ride of Thanks took place all across the country. Lanswoodpark hosted the interval stop for over 500 bikers taking part in Essex. Some 20,000 bikers signed up to take part in this event across the country, with some in fancy dress, all raising money for the brilliant NHS.

Lanswood Ltd, based in Elmstead Market, has submitted outline plans to Tendring District Council for the development of land adjacent to Lanswoodpark Business Centre.
Lanswood Ltd hopes to transform 8 hectares of land into 10,000sqm of new commercial space, accompanied by 72 residential units. This translates into 8-10 new commercial buildings located to the east of the established business park with a housing development set towards the east and south boundaries.

Lanswoodpark recently sponsored local Majorette troupe ICE Illusions, for their competition day held at Whitton United Football Club on Sunday 2nd July. Based in Ipswich, Ice illusions have been running for 17 years and have over 45 members aged 4-30. The competition day was a huge success and was attended by majoretting troupes from all over East Anglia.
